Overview
Soundscapes: The Arab World is a Web interactive that allows students to mix sounds (beats, environment, instrument, music and voice) from the Arab World to create unique audio soundscapes.
Suggested Use
How to Create a Soundscape
- CLICK on a map point to learn more about the history and culture of that region.
- DRAG a map point to a mixer channel to listen to that point’s sound.
- MIX your soundscape using volume and pan controls.
- EMAIL your soundscape to share it with others.
Technical Requirements
This interactive requires the Flash Player 9.124 (or more recent). Speakers are needed for audio (headphones are recommended for use in group settings like libraries or computer labs). Connection to a printer is necessary for printing student creations.
