Camille L. Jeter



Camille L. Jeter

A member of the National Theatre of the Deaf (NTD) for eleven seasons, Camille L. Jeter is an actor, director, consultant, and workshop leader. She received a Princess Grace Award in 1990 and was appointed one of the Company’s Artistic Directors in 1992. She is also the director of the NTD Professional Theatre School and is the National and Worldwide Deaf Theatre Conference Project Supervisor. She has appeared in numerous NTD stage and television productions including, In a Grove, Farewell, My Lovely!, Under Milk Wood, One More Spring, Curious and Curiouser and Peer Gynt, An Italian Straw Hat, The Odyssey, King of Hearts, The Dybbuk: Between Two Worlds, A Child’s Christmas in Wales, Ophelia, Treasure Island, Once Upon a Mattress, The Diviners (NTID); The National Tour of Gordon Davidson’s production of Children of a Lesser God and Frankenstein with the Fairmont Theatre of the Deaf (FTD) (now Cleveland Signstage Theatre). Ms. Jeter was featured in an off-Broadway production of Educating Rita with Will Rhys. She directed Heroes Under Five Feet for The Little Theatre of the Deaf (LTD) and adapted multi-cultural stories for the 1995 LTD production, Story Bag.
