Patricia Laird

As a program specialist with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services/Administration on Developmental Disabilities (ADD), Patricia Laird administers a discretionary grant program that funds projects with the goal of fostering the independence, productivity, and integration of people with developmental disabilities. Before joining the staff at ADD, she worked five years as a senior legislative analyst for a congressional subcommittee having authority for major federal laws concerning people and children with disabilities. Her work in independent living led her to Washington, D.C., where she secured a law degree from Antioch School of Law, now known as the D.C. School of Law.
