Biographies:
Deborah B. Lewis



Deborah B. Lewis is currently the Executive Director of the Ethel Louise Armstrong (ELA) Foundation in Los Angeles, California. She joined the ELA Foundation after 17 years at Special Audiences in Atlanta, Georgia as Community Events Coordinator, Administrative Director, and Executive Director. During her tenure, she brought Audio Description to the state of Georgia, becoming a describer and trainer herself and provided ADA training for numerous arts councils and organizations. She administrated ADA accessibility for the Cultural Olympiad, and the distribution of tickets through the Children’s Olympic Ticket Fund and Paralympic Ticket Fund. She collaborated with ten arts organizations to bring about the first Cultural Paralympiad during the Paralympics in Atlanta in 1996 and received the ABBY Award for the effort. She currently serves as President of the Board of the Association of Theatre and Accessibility.
