Patricia Pasqual became the director of the Foundation Center of Washington, D.C. in July 1994. Previously, she managed the Center’s Cleveland office for more than eight years. The Foundation Center has been the national information resource on foundations and corporate grantmakers established by foundations since 1956. In Washington, Ms. Pasqual manages a staff of seven, who provide free reference services to over 14,000 visitors a year. Ms. Pasqual is also responsible for raising funds for the library’s ongoing and special programs. She is a graduate of Hunter College and the University of Michigan, where she received her Master of Library Science degree. Her first professional librarian position was at the Library of Congress. Currently, Ms. Pasqual is a member and former officer of the local chapter of the National Society of Fund-Raising Executives. She also volunteers at the Folger Shakespeare Library and for the Reading Connection where she also serves as a board member.
