Peter Slatin earned his MA in Painting from Hunter College. After graduating in 1980, he worked as a painter in N.Y.C. and exhibited for the next 12 years. Since the early 1990's he has turned to writing; he currently writes for Barron’s and The New York Post on commercial real estate and business. He also writes about architecture and accessibility for the Architectural Record and Metropolis. In the past, he has also written art criticism for Art News Magazine and has contributed regularly to the New York Times, Newsday, and the Limited Independent.
