Lisa Thorson specializes in jazz and cabaret music. She has appeared across the country with her quintet, Lisa Thorson and Co.; she has performed in Washington's Blues Alley, Danny's Skylight in New York, and the Schullers Jazz Club in Boston. Thorson participated in First Nights Boston, Decordova Labor Day Jazz festival, Jazz at Sunset concerts in Maryland, and many other musical projects. A BA graduate in musical theater from the Boston Conservatory, she has gained experience and studied with Harvey Diamon, jazz pianist, and U. Mass.'s Jazz in July Program. Her awards range from a 1992 Living Legacy award from the Women's International Center in San Diego to the Boston Music Awards.
