Listen: A Celebration of Irish Music

The Kennedy Center's Irish Festival incorporated a variety of musical experiences. One highlight was a musical exhange program, sponsored by the Kennedy Center's Education Department, the U.S. Department of Education, the Department of Education in Northern Ireland, and the Irish Department of Education. Teachers from the United States traveled to Ireland to receive training and plan for collaboration. Musicians from around Ireland worked with all the participating schools there and then traveled to the U.S. to work with the schools here.
